The photos of the 33rd annual Mamou Cajun Music Festival were taken on Friday night when Don Fontenot and les Amis de la Louisiane were playing. In the photo in the right column below, fiddler Mark Young shows that, in addition to his musical abilities, he is also a skilled potato dancer.

After Don Fontenot's group, Kevin Naquin and the Ossun Playboys provided the music for dancers who came from near and far.

The festival continued Saturday with more music, workshops, contests, a tribute to honoree Vorance Barzas, and other activities.
